This afternoon we enjoyed our third session of cricket with Coach Tom from the English cricket board. The children have greatly enjoyed our sessions so far, learning lots of new skills and enjoying using them in games. this afternoon we combined cricket and Maths.

In English this week we have started our Shakespeare text for the year - Julius Caesar. This nicely fits with our Roman topic. We have started by looking at the main characters.

In Maths we have continued looking at fractions, which i have decided are a bit like Marmite - the children either love them or hate them!

All the children should have come home with a letter about our next exciting adventure to the New Forest Schools Day, which is held every year at the show ground. I have attached a copy of the letter below, in case any didn't make it home. please send back the reply by Monday 20th May.

I haven't sent any spellings home again this week as we are revising in class the words we have learnt throughout the year. I will add some more tasks to mathletics for the children to complete.
