Year 3
Friday Blog - Friday 22nd September
Good evening everyone,
We've had another busy week in Year 3, a week when we've frequently had to dodge the showers and the children have watched the rain pour down through the windows!
In English the children have written their own time slip stories, taking themselves back into the Stone Age. They finished this off this afternoon by producing some stunning front covers for their stories. We have also continued to think about the Stone Age in our art lessons. You might have seen some of the children's work on Instagram as they had a go at reproducing cave art using different pencils.
In maths we have started working with 3 digit numbers, finding out about the value of each digit. We have also been working to find 1, 10 &100 more or less than different numbers.
Many thanks for the offers of help I have received from some parents. If anyone else has the odd hour to spare, please get in touch. All help is gratefully received!
Just a quick reminder that Forest School is on Thursday for half the class. Please ensure your child has appropriate clothing and footwear. After all the rain, the site can be muddy and we do our best not to cancel sessions, whatever the weather.
Have a great weekend,
The Year 3 Team
