Year 3
Friday Blog - Friday 22nd November
Good evening Everyone,
We have had a very busy week, but the highlight for Year 3 was definitely SNOW! We have the best classroom for a vista out onto the forest and we all watched in delight as the flakes began to fall and then began to settle!
It has been Interfaith week and on Thursday the children all took part in different activities around the school related to Sikhism. It's always lovely when the children work across year groups, with the older children supporting the younger ones. They all enjoyed the wide variety of creative activities that were on offer.
The children have loved the book we have been working with in English - The Lost Happy Endings by Carol Ann Duffy and Jane Ray. It's a fantastic story with a hideous villainous witch. The children have done some fabulous writing, firstly in a diary entry for Jub, the hero of the story, and secondly writing their own endings, happy or sad, for the tale.
Many thanks to parents of Group B - Badger Jones was very impressed that all the children had enough layers to keep them warm at Forest School this afternoon. Group A stayed with me for a very calm art lesson, looking at the illustrations of Kerry Hyndman.
It was lovely to see some of you at our Parent Workshop yesterday. I have attached below some useful handouts and a copy of the presentation for you all. If there are any more questions, please come and see me.
Best wishes for the weekend,
Clare
