Year 3
Friday Blog - Friday 6th December
Good afternoon,
I can't believe that we've made it to December or that it seemed so dark at home time today! Just 2 weeks of school left before the Christmas holidays. We had a lovely time this morning, watching the dress rehearsal for the KS1 nativity. You are in for a treat if you're going to see it next week.
It's still been all about robins this week. The children have written descriptions of the robin in our story, using expanded noun phrases and similes to add interest to their writing. Group A have used a monoprint technique in art this afternoon to print robins - these can be viewed on Instagram - and Group B have made robin Christmas cards with leaves at forest school with Badger Jones.
There is no Forest School next week, but there will be a session the following week (last day). Group B are owed a few weeks because of missed session for INSET day and the opera trip. They will catch-up in the new year and I will let you know the dates when arranged.
In our Jigsaw sessions we have been looking at issues around bullying. I have been impressed by the sensible and thoughtful ideas and comments the children have made - well done to all of them.
Have a lovely weekend,
Clare
