Good afternoon everyone,

Can I firstly say how immensely proud of all the children I was this week. We have had visitors in the classroom and the children's behaviour was impeccable! They were polite and welcoming, listening carefully to all that was said to them. Well done Roe Deer Class. 

We have started lots of new topics this week.  Our new book in English - It starts with a seed - has already inspired us to write some amazing poetry, including blackout poetry, which the children loved. This linked to our new artist in Art. We looked at the work of Paul Morrison, a monochrome artist who produces some amazing botanical paintings and sculptures. We've had a go at drawing black on white and white on black.

We will be learning about earthquakes in Geography. We found the UK and New Zealand on a world map, then found Christchurch on the map of New Zealand.
