Year 3
Autumn 1 Week 3
The children have wowed me with their writing this week. They have all written their own Stone Age stories, whisking their characters back in time to take part in a variety of stone age activities that we have found out about this week.
The children discovered their inner caveman during art and produced some amazing cave paintings that have made a very impressive display. The children loved using oil pastels to create their masterpieces.
Home learning also focusses on our topic - we have looked at life in the stone age, through our story, so the children should be able to come up ideas for fun or difficult things about living in the stone age. I have also set a couple of activities on Mathletics. The children should all have a copy of their login details, although these are the same as last year. I will try and set mathletics every week, but please only do it if you have time. I know that some of the children really love it and are quite happy to do it every week.
Please, please, please if anyone has a spare hour in their week and would be able to come into school as a volunteer your help would be very gratefully received. Please come and see about this, or any other concerns you have.
Enjoy your weekend, despite the weather!
