Yr 4 - Friday 1st Febraury 2019
Round up of the week.
Maths
We have continued our learning of the 6 and 7 multiplication and division facts. The children learned the facts through song, hit the button, discussion of strategies for those that we find tricky and testing ourselves at speed. The children have also looked at pattern making and problem solving.
English
We have this week written a further chapter for “Oliver and the Seawigs” concentrating on the Night of the Sewings. The children have had an opportunity to practice their simple, complex and simple sentences and to publish their improved chapter in word.
Science
We have looked at the dangers of the sun this week and the children had fun looking at the impact that light has on their pupils.
Hooke Court
Thank you for so many of you returning your forms for Hooke Court and the offers to volunteer. I have filed the volunteer roles and I just wanted to thank those that put themselves forward. It was greatly appreciated. I will after half term arrange for an information meeting in order that I can go through the residential in more detail.
If you have any questions please do come and see me.
Have a great weekend.
