Mental Maths

15 minutes

  • Please see attached the mental maths questions. The PowerPoint includes questions for the entire week. Please choose two 5 second questions and 2 10 second questions each day. The answers are on the last two slides so that you can mark your answers.

Main Maths Lesson

30 minutes

  • LO I can divide a 2 digit number by a digit number.
  • For Maths this week, we will be using the White Rose resources again which can be found at this website:

  • Today’s lesson is Summer 1 Week 3: Lesson :3: Divide 2 digit number by 1 digit number
  •  There is a video, worksheet and answers to go with each lesson. The video will teach the children the skills they require to answer the questions. They should answer the questions in their home learning books.
  • I will also attach the questions and answers to the blog as well.

  • Quiet reading your own book.


15 minutes

  • Practise your spellings on Spelling Shed.


30 minutes

  • LO I can explore non-chronological reports.
  • Yesterday you designed your own made up creature.
  • Tomorrow, you will be writing a non-chronological report (an information page) about your creature.
  • Today, you need to find out more about what a non-chronological report is and you need to look at an example.
  • Watch this video to learn what a non-chronological report is.
  •  You should take some notes in your Home Learning book.
  • Then, read the example that is attached and pick out any key words or phrases that you like and want to use in your own when you write it tomorrow. You should also write these key words or phrases our in your Home Learning book.


1 hour

  • LO I understand the life cycle of a plant.
  • Please complete the Science activity attached.
  • You need to design and create a way of representing the stages of a plant’s life.
  • You could: draw the different stages on a paper plate, make a poster, create a small book, make a powerpoint with a stage on each slide or you could come up with your own idea.
