Hello everyone, 

It's Friday!! Please find attached the timetable and resources for the last time before a week of rest. Both the English and the maths tasks today are set online so that I can have a look at how the children are getting on. Do email me if you have any questions or concerns.

Mental Maths

15 minutes

  • Please see attached the mental maths questions. The PowerPoint includes questions for the entire week. Please choose two 5 second questions and 2 10 second questions each day. The answers are on a separate PowerPoint.

Main Maths Lesson

30 minutes

  • LO I understand division and can problem solve
  • Today’s maths tasks are on mathletics.
  • There is one on the normal section of mathletics – the purple ‘learn’ tab and this one is called Related Division Facts.
  • The second task is on the orange ‘explore’ section called ‘Pair numbers to reach the product’.
  • The optional third task is also on the orange ‘explore’ section called ‘The greatest triangle’.

Reading

15 minutes

  • LO I can read with fluency
  • .Choose a paragraph or page from your reading book. Read it through once in your head, trying to work out any unfamiliar words. Then read it aloud, trying to read with fluency, which means that your reading will flow and have good expression.

Spellings

15 minutes

  • Practise your spellings on Spelling Shed.

  • LO I can write a non-chronological report about my own made up creature.
  • Yesterday you started typing your report. Today you need to finish it and hand it in on the assignment that I have set on Google Classroom!
  • I can’t wait to hear about the creatures you have come up with.

Geography

1 hour

  • I can research modern Egypt
  • You’ve completed lots of work and research into Ancient Egypt.
  • Today, I would like you to research what modern Egypt is like in order to answer the questions that are on the attached document.
