Hello everyone,

Last week we completed our unit on the book 'The Firework Maker's Daughter'. I have posted the picture of our new display which has lots of the children's work from the unit. This display is opposite the entrance to the hall so that the children from the rest of the school can see that fantastic work that Year 4 have done!

In Maths, we started some work on Geometry, looking at the different types of angles as well as the correct terms for different types of triangles and quadrilaterals. We are continuing our work on Geometry this week. 

The children are really enjoying their History unit on The Iron Age and have enjoyed being detectives, trying to find out why this period in history was not particularly peaceful! Ask your child what they have learnt about this to find out more.

As already mentioned earlier this term, your child is bringing home (or should be!) two books a week. Their library book as well as phonics appropriate book. Please try to ensure that you are listening to your child as much as possible throughout the week.
