Good afternoon,

We have had a busy week again in Year 4!

We have started a new English unit, with our stimulus being the film 'The Polar Express'. We will be watching short clips from the film, and exploring the picture book as well, in order to support some descriptive writing. They are all really enjoying the unit so far.

In maths, we have been continuing with our work on Geometry, looking at symmetry, coordinates and area. The children have made really good progress with this work. Please encourage them to complete their homework on Mathletics to support their learning. 

The children loved our Science lesson on Thursday, answering the question 'Are spaces really empty?'. Have a look at the picture of our experiment and see if children can show it to you and explain how it works.
