This week in English we have planned and written our own stories based on Santa’s journey to return the lost bells in The Polar Express. The children had some fantastic ideas for their stories and have used a success criteria to independently check their writing.

In maths we have been busy applying all that we know to some end of term assessments. The children did brilliantly. They all tried their best and showed great resilience.

In science we carried out an experiment using circuits and tested which materials were conductors and which were insulators. The class are really enjoying learning about circuits and worked really well testing different materials. We then discussed our results and wrote conclusions.

I would like to say a huge well done to George Truscott! This week he held a bake sale after school and raised over £150 for a refugee charity. Great work George – we are all very proud of you!
