Year 4
Year 4 - 21.01.2022
We have had another great week in year 4! We have welcomed Miss Geary into our class and she has really enjoyed spending the week with your children. Miss Geary is a student teacher and we are very lucky to have her with us until April!
This week year 4 had their first swimming lesson and we were all very proud of them! They listened carefully, followed instructions and tried their best! Some children had a few worries before going and we spent time in class sharing our fears and talking through what would happen on the day. I was really pleased to hear today that most of those who were feeling worried are now feeling very positive about the experience and can’t wait to go again!
In English this week, we have been busy planning our own stories that follow the same structure as ‘The Great Kapok Tree’. We will be writing these next week.
In maths, we have been focussing on the place value of hundredths and how to represent these as fraction and a decimal. We have then looked at what happens to a number when it is divided by 100.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Miss Blick
