The children have enjoyed continuing to explore ‘Wild Animals of the North’ this week. They have used the text to identify and write sentences that include fronted adverbials and apostrophes for possession. They had great fun carrying out their own research today on their favourite animal, ready to write our own animal fact book next week.

In maths, we have been looking at time. We have focused on telling the time to the nearest 5 minutes in order to secure this before moving onto digital time. We have also been converting between minutes and hours and seconds and minutes. We have used our six times table to help us convert between them and all of year 4 have worked very hard. It would be great if you could continue practising this life skill at home to continue to build fluency and confidence.

In PE this week the children have been choreographing their own dance routines. They showed excellent team work and managed to apply lots of the taught elements from this half term's dance unit.
