Year 4
Year 4 - 11.11.2022
This week in year 4 we have continued to explore ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’. We have been learning about paragraphs, identifying them within the text and writing our own. The children wrote some fantastic paragraphs about the characters in the text.
In maths, we started the week by converting between meters and kilometres. The children applied their knowledge to a variety of problem solving tasks. We have then moved onto the 6 x table. We are focusing on recalling our multiplication facts fluently. Songs and games have been helping us with this! We have also been using our knowledge of the 6 timetable to help problem solve and give reasons for our answers.
We have enjoyed our second week of gymnastics this week, and I was incredibly impressed with the children’s work. We have been learning a range of different partner balances and jumps. This week, we used these to create a short routine in pairs and threes. Well done year 4!
Please can all children have their PE kits in school on Monday. The children will be taking part in a taster session with Rippa Rugby.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
