We have had a lovely week in year 4. It was wonderful to see so many bright stripes, spots and fluffy ears today! Thank you all for your generous donations for Children in Need.

In English we have come to the end of our unit on ‘The Firework Makers Daughter’. We explored a range of different children’s books that are written in the form of a diary. We have then planned and written our own recounts of a part of the story from Lila’s perspective. The class worked incredibly hard to ensure they were descriptive and have used some fantastic vocabulary.

In maths, with have been looking at the 12 x table. We have explored how we can partition the number 12 into a 10 and 2 to help us as we build fluency in this area. We have also been completing some year 4 assessments. The class have showed brilliant resilience and independence throughout the week. We are very proud of them.

You will have all received a letter about our upcoming trip. We are all very excited! Please can you ensure the permission slip is signed and returned by next Friday.
