Year 4 - 02.12.2022
It is officially December and we are feeling very festive! On Tuesday we worked on creating our Christmas door. We made paper chains and presents as well as decorating baubles and lights. We all had lots of fun!
In maths this week we have continued our work on tenths and decimals. We have moved onto rounding decimals to the nearest whole number. The children have done incredibly well in applying their knowledge of rounding and tenths. They have share their reasoning, provided examples and solved a variety of problems. We have also spent some time working on the recall of our times tables.
In English, we have continued our Polar Express learning journey. We have read the text as a class and explored the language and features of the text. We have then used imagery from the film to support an independent recount of the journey to the North Pole.
This week we welcomed some students from Highcliffe who put on a fantastic performance using a range of different musical instruments. The class thoroughly enjoyed the performance and were an excellent audience.
We hope you all enjoy the weekend.
