Happy half term! We have had a great last week of Summer 1 in year 4. In English, we have completed our unit on ‘The Lost Words’. We researched a variety of wildflowers and plants and have used our new knowledge to create some wonderful leaflets. The children have published these and added some beautiful illustrations. Well done!

In maths, we have been looking at coordinates. The children have been describing coordinates, moving points and shapes on a grid and describing movements. They have applied their learning to many different problem solving challenges and used their own grids to support their reasoning. We have also been continuing to focus on our times tables fluency. You can continue to do this at home through TT Rockstars, Ed Shed and Hit the Button.

Other highlights this week were being joined by students from Brockenhurst College. The treated us to a fun, energetic PE session. Year 4 listened carefully, were very polite and thoroughly enjoyed the session.

Group 1 have enjoyed their final Forest School session this week. Group 2 will begin their 6 sessions on Monday 12^th June.
