We have had a great week. A highlight was our whole school forest walk. We walked approximately 5 miles and I was incredibly impressed with Year 4’s resilience and positive outlook. We found a lovely shady spot by Puttles Bridge and had great fun carrying out our scavenger hunt. We all enjoyed our picnic lunch and playing at Whitefield Moor. Well done Year 4!

In maths, we have been looking at factor pairs using our knowledge of multiplication and division and then moved onto division. We used equipment, bar models and place value charts to help us divide and problem solve.

In English, we have summarised the events so far in ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ and explored the use of personal and possessive pronouns by identifying these in the text and using them within our own writing. We have ended the week by designing our own dragon, using a range of vocabulary and figurative language to describe them.
