Year 4
Year 4 - 10.11.2023
We have had a great week in Year 4. In English, we have written our own poems about a season arriving on our doorstep. I am so impressed with the outcome! The class have done a fantastic job and thought incredibly carefully about their choice of vocabulary to convey to the audience how they feel about the season’s arrival. We will be publishing and illustrating our poems early next week and making them into a class book of poems.
In maths, we have continued with subtraction. We have moved onto subtracting two four digit numbers with one exchange taking place. The children are becoming more and more confident with this. They have shown how resilient they are and ensured they are using resources and written methods to help them work out the answers.
In history we have continued to find out more about the Romans and looked at their invasion of Britain! We considered why they wanted to invade Britain and used our knowledge to order a variety of different reasons from most important to least.
We hope you all have a great weekend.
