Year 4 - 24.11.2023
We have had a great week in Year 4. A highlight for all this week was PE. We are currently half way through our gymnastics unit and have introduced more of the gymnastics equipment into our lesson. The children used the equipment well and were able to show their knowledge of different ways to travel, a range of shapes and jumps. Well done!
In English, we have been reading ‘The Firework Marker’s Daughter’. The class are enjoying the text and have applied their knowledge of the characters and plot to some letter writing. We have also explored the purpose of paragraphs and when to begin a new paragraph.
In maths, we have been looking at efficient strategies for subtraction. The class have explored a range of different strategies that they can apply to make certain calculations easier to manage and more accurate. I was very impressed with the resilience shown!
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
