We have had a great week in year 4! We have been very busy planning our own pizzas ready for cooking next week.  Part of the planning process was tasting different ingredients. The class were fantastic at trying new foods and going out of their comfort zones. Another highlight was most definitely the brass assembly. Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed their music lessons with Mrs Thomas and it was great for them to have the opportunity to share their learning with you.

In maths we have been looking at area. We have drawn shapes with a given area, calculated area and compared the area of different shapes. The class have used this knowledge to solve a range of problems confidently. Great work!

Our final unit in English is based on ‘The Polar Express’. Throughout the week we have been exploring clips from the film and looking at the language and structure of the book. We have described parts of the text using conjunctions and recapped direct speech.
