Year 4
Year 4 - 07.06.2024
Welcome back! We have had a lovely first week back. We all enjoyed walking to the MUGA to take part in a litter pick. Year four really embraced the experience and collected lots of litter to help clear up the area. We then used the recorded our route as a map with a key to end our New Forest geography unit.
In English, we have come to the end of our work around ‘The Lost Words’. The class planned, wrote, edited and published their very own leaflets about wildflowers. We have been practising using handwriting pens in our handwriting sessions and today used them when publishing our work. The class worked hard to on their presentation and we not have a wonderful collection of leaflets to inform other children in the school.
In maths, we have moved onto our new unit which is looking at money. We have made different amount, converted between pounds and pence and looked at order and comparing. Our week has ended with applying our knowledge of rounding to round amounts of money to the nearest pound to help us estimate amounts.
We hope you all have a lovey weekend.
