Year 4 - 21.03.2025
Happy Friday! What a busy week it has been! Following a whole school Worship, we have had Sally join us to answer any questions Year 4 had about the work she does in Rwanda. The class had come up with some really thoughtful, well considered questions and we found out lots about the schools that Sally supports and what it is like in Rwanda. In other news, we have enjoyed another fun netball lesson where the children were in teams of six with half taking the position of defenders and half attackers. The class applied the netball rules really well and had some great games.
In English this week, we have written, edited and published our information pages about animal migration. The class have worked hard to include a range of the elements that made our class text successful and make their writing really engaging and interesting for the reader. They have then published these on the laptops and considered how they present both their texts and images. The final outcome looks brilliant!
In maths, we have been continuing with division. We have looked at using dienes, partitioning and formal written methods to calculate the answers. Throughout the week, the class have grown in confidence and made great use of their multiplication knowledge to help them. We have ended the week by looking at division with remainders - this will continue into next week.
Today we have celebrated Comic Relief in school - thank you all for your generous donations.
Just a quick reminder – please can any remaining Hooke Court paperwork be returned as soon as possible.
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
