Y5 w/c 2.3.20
An exciting week has drawn to a close with a delicious helping of sunshine today. Much needed!
Well done to all for putting so much effort and enthusiasm in to their costumes fo World Book Day yesterday. The children were thoroughly engaged in a variety of reading activities across the day and we had a final assembly to give some awards and marvel at some truly outstanding costumes.
Next week, please be reminded that our school trip to New Forest Wildlife Park is next Thursday. I am still a bit short of helpers, so if anyone would like to come for the day (sunshine guaranteed), please let the office know.
Thursday also sees the start of the school's science week. Across the week from 12-19th March, we will be having a whole school focus on science. The theme this year is Our Diverse Planet. On Friday 13th, Y5 will be presenting some of the learning to the school and I have asked that the children bring in any cuddly animals that are affected by climate change for our animal parade.
Friday 13th March is also Sports Relief day and the children may come dressed as a sporting hero!
Have a fun weekend.
Y5 team.
