Half term is here!  A huge well done and thank you to all of Y5 for their hard work and the resilience and perseverance they have shown this half term, getting to grips with new routines and procedures.

It was lovely for Mrs Edwards and I to speak with so many of you last week for the parent-teacher consultations and we look forward to hopefully seeing you in person next time.  

I attach the Y5 School Library Service suggested reads information for the year.  We would encourage you to read as many of these as possible throughout the year, perhaps expanding your experience to further titles by a preferred author from the list.   Obviously, the list is a guide and by no means exhaustive, rather a signpost to quality children's literature.  

Many thanks to those who contributed to the french cafe today.  We sampled brioche, croissants, baguettes, orange juice and raspberry jam accompanied by some fine traditional french music.  The children learnt to ask for what they would like to eat and drink.   

A final note please to remember welly boots in school for Tuesday 3rd November for a DT activity.
