We started the day of today learning how to spell the word 'appreciate' and finding synonyms and antonyms.  We then talked about this word as part of class worship and came up with all sorts of things that we really appreciate in our world, from the very simple everyday things we might take for granted at times, to bigger and greater ideas.  Following on from this, we tuned in to see how Jo Wicks was getting on with his mammoth 24 hour workout challenge and watched his final countdown.  The children were amazed at how much money he had raised for the Charity and we discussed some of the children and projects that money will go to fund and support.  As ever, thoughtful responses from Year 5 and an appreciation of the effort of many of the fundraisers this week.
