Dear parents and carers,

This week we have updated Times Tables Rock Stars for Year 5 and each child has a personalised list to practise. We have enjoyed practical lessons on fractions including looking at equivalent fractions and ordering and comparing. The focus has been to simplify the complicated vocabulary around this topic.

The children are enjoying our reading unit on Blackberry Blue and other fairy tales, by Jamila Gavin. In geography this week, the children have identified economic activity linked to tourism in Iceland. Studying Coventry Cathedral has also given us a wonderful insight into the holy and loving aspects of God. In D&T, we have been making 3D shapes in preparation for our bath bomb packaging.
