Dear parents and carers,

Happy New Year!

We were delighted to see all the children back in class on Monday. We have been continuing our learning journeys in reading and writing and completing the science and design and technology units from last term. This week our TANKA poems for Hansel and Gretel were very creative following the 5,7,5,7,7 syllable pattern. Here is an example of one:

The Ginger Bread House

It smelt very fine,    5

There was a wicked lady,    7

They were petrified,   5

A cage lurked there for Hansel,    7

Poor Gretel was bribed to work.    7

In computing, the children learnt how to use binary code which was very exciting for all of us!
