Dear parents and carers,

We hope you enjoyed the Easter break and the lovely weather.

It was great to welcome the children back in class. They have had a busy week!

In geography, we have started our new unit, Who are Britain’s National Parks for? We had great fun trying to identify the 15 national parks through locational clues.

In computing, the children are learning how to design a webpage using Google Site. This week they explored the different features to enable them to create content for the webpage.

The new writing unit based on the text Dreams of Freedom is a feast of visual stories, brave words and beautiful pictures woven together to inspire young readers to stand up together and make a difference. A stunningly good book!

This term we are looking forward to getting out onto the field more often, and yesterday we started with athletics where the children showed some excellent relaying skills.

Year 5 have taken delivery of the beehive they are decorating for the New Forest Show…watch this space!
