Dear parents and carers,

In our study of The War of the Worlds, Year 5 had to identify the main character’s feelings as he walked through the London streets at night. The class generated the following fabulous vocabulary to use:

Perplexed, disorientated, overwhelmed, intrigued,  apprehensive.

Thank you to all those who have returned their consent forms for our New Park workshop on Wednesday 12^th October. Mr.Thomas has kindly rearranged our music lesson which will now be on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 next week, so that the children don’t miss out.

We have had a class session on Maths Shed today and your child should know how to log in to an assignment, what it looks like and how many times they should play the game or try the activity.

In science we have started our new unit of work, Making new Substances. This week we revised our knowledge of states of matter, reversible changes and started to learn about irreversible changes. Next week we will be conducting some investigations.
