Week beginning 09.01.23
Dear parents and carers,
There will be no Forest School for Group 1 on Tuesday 17th January as Miss Jones is on a training course.
This week, Year 5 have continued to work hard on their understanding and drawing of acute and obtuse angles. They have started their new unit in RE. This is their first in a series running across Year 5 and 6 on the world religion of ISLAM (our topic is BELONGING).
The children were delighted that it is their turn for music this half-term with Mr. Thomas. They need to remember to bring in their instruments on a Wednesday morning as Mr. Thomas encourages the children to use them in the lessons when composing music.
We have started our new unit in science - space and gravity. This week the children learnt about the solar system. We will be enhancing the learning by visiting Winchester Science Centre. Letters were sent home on Thursday regarding this.
