Dear parents and carers,

Today the whole school came together in houses to perform their own dance routines, which they have choreographed in PE lessons. We heard lots of positive comments from staff members about the standard of Year 5 performances - well done to all of you!

We have started our new reading and writing unit. In writing we have been immersing ourselves in the text, 'Henry's Freedom Box'. In reading we have been predicting and comparing character opinions from the book, The Storm Keeper's Island.

Rippa Rugby:

Y5 have their rescheduled session with Rippa Rugby on Monday 27^th February. They will need outside PE kit please.

Forest School:

There will be no Forest School next week. Thereafter, Group 1 will continue with sessions until Easter. Group 2 will have their sessions in the first half term after Easter.

Tower of London Schools Coronation Competition:

Year 5 have started their history/art topic on the coronation and will be entering the national 'Tower of London Schools Coronation Competition' to design a Coronation bench.

For simplicity, maths and spelling homework will both be set on a Friday from today.
