Dear parents and carers,

We have finished our Coronation chair design, and are now keeping our fingers crossed that out of the two thousand schools that have entered, Year 5s entry is looked on favourably.

In reading we completed the unit based around the book The Storm Keeper's Island and have started work on the fantastic novel, The Nowhere Emporium. 

For writing the children have worked super hard this week and have produced some very emotive pieces showing great skill and empathy. 

We have completed our science unit on Space and Gravity and look forward to starting a new one next week.

For maths we have had a fun week looking at volume - what it is and estimating - and we finished off the week looking at capacity , using all the containers that were kindly donated.

We will let you know when Forest School recommences, until then please do not send your children in with kit.
