Dear parents and carers,

This week the children finished their diary entries. Their use of empathetic language has been wonderful to see, and we are very proud of them. The children have been working very hard to edit their work effectively for the reader.

This week we have been ordering and comparing decimals up to three decimal places. Today the children were a given a problem-solving task based around this objective, which they worked on collaboratively.

In history this week we were learning about why Britain wanted an empire. The children learnt about the different raw materials that were imported to and exported from the colonies of the empire.

We started our new science unit on forces that oppose motion. We conducted an egg-cellent experiment using an egg to test water resistance and made paper helicopters to test air resistance.
