Dear parents and carers,

We have finished our unit on fractions and will be moving onto decimals and percentages next week.

We have also completed our ‘Love That Dog’ unit and will be starting a journey narrative next week.

In reading we will be starting our new unit on the wonderful book, The Nowhere Emporium.

In science we were learning about levers, pulleys and gears and will be setting up a range of investigations around these over the next few weeks.

Our new unit in geography is about the National Parks of the United Kingdom, which is brilliant, as our school is in one. Year 5 generated the following definition – A National Park is a protected, managed area of nature for the public. As the unit progresses, we will be adding to this.

Today we were very lucky to have our PE lesson taught by Brockenhurst College students. The children all gave 10/10 to the students for their lessons.

A reminder that it is class photos next Thursday. Please ensure the children are wearing their correct uniform.
