Round up of the week

English

This week we have begun reading Wolf Brother. We have examined the language used in the first three pages and written our version of an encounter with a bear based on that language.

We have also enjoyed our first “Café English” lesson whereby the children chose the purpose and form to their writing together with the subject.

Maths

We learnt about the features of different shapes including their angles, co-ordinates on a 4-quadrant grid and translations of shapes.

Science

We have begun learning about the planets in the solar system.
