We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

5th March 2021

Dear Parents,

Thank you so much for all the support you have offered your child in undertaking home learning during this latest lockdown. We are so excited to be welcoming them back on Monday.

I am very impressed and proud of all the work that is being undertaken by the children every day and I know that this will assist them greatly in their transition back to school.

It has been brought to my attention that the children have been communicating with each other through various media. Obviously, they have been through a very difficult period and it is imperative that they stay connected. However, I understand that not all communication has been healthy or supportive and that the children are on programmes/games that are not age appropriate.

I thought it might be useful to give you the link to the Government advice on the use of social media.

and the Internet

In addition, I attach the link the link to the Whatsapp Legal Information.

I would draw your attention to the age requirement for the use of this app and parental responsibility.

We did a lot of PSHE learning at the start of the Year on Social Media and Computer programmes. I emphasised the benefits and dangers of these platforms and very importantly the need to be kind to others.

I should be grateful if this could be something that could be reinforced at home.

If any of you would like to discuss this further please let me know by email and I can arrange a time to call you to discuss.

Kind regards
