Year 6 have been working very hard this week!

In maths, we have been adding and subtracting numbers up to 10,000,000 and applying our methods to problem-solving and reasoning tasks. Next week we will move onto applying this to multi-step problems where we may need to use more than one operation. 

In English, we have continued with our book study on 'Dead Man's Cove' and the children have written fantastic character descriptions about the main character, Laura. 

The children really enjoyed the trip to Priestlands on Wednesday and they represented the school and their family's very well. We have an upcoming trip to Highcliffe booked in which you will receive letters for on Monday. 

All children have been allocated with a class responsibility as part of being a pupil in Year 6. Many members of staff have commented to the Year 6 adults about how well the children are carrying out their roles and generally how well they are conducting themselves around the school which has been really lovely to hear. Well done Year 6!
