Hello everyone,

We have had a busy week this week! We finished the week this afternoon with Maths Olympics in the hall, where the children had to work in teams, answering maths questions and completing an obstacle course. They had great fun but also showed brilliant resilience, which is our school learning value this half-term. 

In Art this week, we went  out into our school grounds and did some observational sketches as well as some photography of the trees. I have posted an example of a photo that one group took.

In maths, we have been working on time : converting between different units and interpreting timetables before using these skills to problem solve. The children have done really well with this!

In English, we have now finished our unit on Floodland which ended with the children writing some diary entries from the perspective of the main character, Zoe. They have tried really hard to use good quality vocabulary and to hook the reader in to their writing.
