Hello everyone,

Firstly I want to thank you for your support with helping the children to be prepared for the art project they have been working on. They enjoyed going out in their welly boots to observe and draw the pigs, and this week they enjoyed using their torches to explored light and dark when drawing. We have now finished out project with Pia which the children have thoroughly enjoyed.

In maths, we have been exploring measurement, converting between different units as well as converting between metric and imperial measures. The children have done really well with the challenging topic!

In English, we are focusing on a book called 'Wolf Brother' which the children are also enjoying. This book is a good challenge for the children, with lots of higher order vocabulary and chapters written from different characters' perspectives. 

The children are enjoying our new DT topic. We will be linking this to our Geography unit on 'Fair Trade'. So far we have taste tested some different sweet and savoury biscuits, evaluating each one, in preparation for making some of our own biscuits with fair trade ingredients. 

I have handed out the CGP books to anyone that handed in the forms and ordered them.
