Hello everyone,

We hope you all  had a lovely Easter break. The children have certainly come back refreshed and ready to learn. 

In maths, we have been recapping a number of areas which were taught earlier on in the year, and the children showed that they can remember their strategies. They have also applied their maths to a range of arithmetic and reasoning questions. 

In English, we have been working on a book called The Buried Crown which they have been really engrossed in. They have written their own 'Legends' today which are very interesting to read. 

Thank you for all returning your slips for the Year 6 picnic which is on Friday 13th May. As we wrote on the letter, any parents who are able to come are very welcome to join us. We will be leaving school mid-morning, walking to Whitemoor, playing some games before having our picnic and heading back to school in the afternoon. We will put details of timings on the blog nearer the time. 

We hope you all enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend.
