Year 6 Weekly Blog Post
17.6.22
Hello everyone,
We have had a very busy week in Year 6! With full rehearsals underway, PSHE lessons preparing the children for secondary school and the normal maths, English and science lessons, the children are still having to work really hard.
In maths, we have continued with our project where the children are planning a holiday. They have been researching flight costs and have started to consider the different accommodation options when going away.
In English, we have continued with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The children have been analysing extracts of text and next week we will move on to some of their own writing.
The rehearsals have been going well. Today we performed with the rest of KS2 and the rest of the children loved it! Please encourage your child to practise saying their lines now with more volume. We are so impressed with how well the children have learnt their lines, but now we need them to be a little bit louder! Please don't forget that if you need help with costumes at all, just get in touch.
Important - We have Bikeability next week so please remember to send your child in with their bike on Monday.
It has been hot these last couple of days. If this continues next week, please remind your child to bring a hat and water bottle into school, and to apply sun cream in the morning.
We hope you all enjoy the sunshine this weekend.
