Year 6 Weekly Blog
24.6.22
Hello everyone,
Year 6 have been extremely busy this week!
Bikeability went really well and the leaders commented on what a lovely group of children they were to work with - we were very proud! They have come home with their certificates today which share with you their competencies at the end of the sessions.
We have been doing some PSHE lessons to prepare the children for the transition to secondary school. These have been really helpful and have provoked some great discussions.
In English, we have begun writing a story today, which the children will complete next week. They have been working hard to include all of the 'Year 6' writing criteria and to start with a powerful opening.
In maths, the children have been researching different accommodation for a holiday, budgeting for this as well as considering budgets for food while away. Today we have also been converting between different currencies of money.
The rehearsals for the school production have continued! The children are putting so much effort in and it is really coming along. Please note that we did request for costumes to be in next week (27th). If you are having any problems do get in touch, or get the children to speak to one of us, and we can help out.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
