Good afternoon,

We have made it to the end of the first half-term! It was so lovely to see many of you at Parents Evening this week to discuss how well the children have settled into Y6. 

We have had a busy final week of the half-term. We have completed our RE unit,  our History unit and our English unit on 'The Black Hole'. We will be beginning some new topics after the break.

This afternoon we had a fantastic visit to The Balmer Lawn Hotel.  The children listened really carefully to Alison, the owner, and some of the other staff that worked there. They learnt about some of the different career opportunities within the hotel, many facts about the history of the hotel, had a 'behind the scenes' tour of the kitchen, and even had a go at mixing some of their own drinks. The children, as always, represented our school really well while having this great experience.
