Good afternoon,

We've had another busy week in Year 6!

This week we took some of our art lesson outside, using our wonderful school surroundings, particularly the sensory garden, to practice the skill of photography. The children each took photographs of trees within our school grounds. This is to inspire a sculpture that the children are going to create of a tree.

In maths we have continued our work on decimals, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing with decimals. We will move on next week to applying this to equivalent fractions and percentages. 

In English we have started a new non-fiction text all about heroic animals. We will start to create some of our own writing next week linked to this text.

The children were very positive about watching Cinderella for our pantomime yesterday.  A huge thank you to our PTA for this wonderful treat.
