    Good evening everyone,

Firstly, I would like to say what an absolute pleasure it was to take your children on their local walk around Brockenhurst as part of our Geography learning. They were impeccably behaved, listened carefully and were alert to their surroundings throughout the walk.

Two of our Governors also came along to help, and they commented on how polite and well-mannered the whole class were. When we go out of school, it is always important to us that the children represent our school in the best possible way. You should be very proud of them, as we certainly are!

What a Super Week in Year 1!

We’ve had another super week in Year 1! One of the highlights was exploring taste buds in Science. The children loved learning about how we taste different flavours and had lots of fun tasting a variety of foods. It was wonderful to see their excitement and curiosity!

This week, we’ve also been learning the story of The Three Little Pigs. The children have enjoyed creating their own story maps and learning the story through actions — it’s been great fun! We’d love to invite you to share their storytelling with you on Thursday 22nd October at 2:30pm in the hall. We hope to see you there!

    Hello,

Next week in Science, we will be continuing our learning about our senses. We will be learning about how our tongue works and exploring our sense of taste by trying a variety of foods, including crisps, dark chocolate, lemon juice, biscuits and cheese.

If your child has any allergies or dietary requirements that we are not already aware of, please let me know as soon as possible.

    Thank you! Mrs Platt
