John Littlewood - Head Teacher
I am a true Yorkshireman at heart with a passion for the Lake District. I moved to the South 22 years ago to start teaching after meeting my wife at University. I have a son in primary education and taught in Bournemouth before moving into the Forest.  I am passionate about every child being given the opportunity to achieve their potential and will do everything within my power to champion our leaders of the future.

I am a foundation governor appointed by the church and having recently retired I am delighted to take on the role of chair of governors at Brockenhurst primary school. I started my career as a teacher before moving into local government within Children’s services. I have lived in the village for over 25 years and my 2 sons attended Brockenhurst Primary school. It is a privilege to work with fellow governors, staff, parents and carers to support all of our pupils to achieve their full potential in all areas.

Revd Simon Newham - Chair of Children & Curriculum
I am the Vicar of Brockenhurst, Boldre and South Baddesley with the community connections that such a role facilitates.  I have experience of school governorship over the last 15 years in a variety of contexts - including the role of Chair of Governors.  Before being ordained I studied geology at university and worked as a Project Leader in construction material research.  I continue to have a passion for the outdoors and outdoor pursuits engendered by my study and enjoyment of the natural world.

I am dually qualified as an Environmental Health Officer and a Safety Officer. For approx 30 years I worked for the London Borough of Croydon as the Food, Safety and Licensing Manager which included chairing the Safety Advisory Group for Crystal Palace Football club and Surrey Street market. I retired in July 2013.  I have been a Foundation Governor of Wallington County Grammar School  for 25 years and am still a Trustee.  I was a Magistrate for 20 years.    I moved to Brockenhurst in 2013. My two children are now grown up and have moved away from home. I am also a Trustee of Brockenhurst Village hall.
Beth Martin - Staff Governor
I have grown up and have enjoyed living in the New Forest for my whole life and love getting out for long walks in the forest or by the sea. I have been teaching now for four years and feel very privileged to be a teacher and part of a Governing Body for a school which is in the heart of the forest. I feel lucky to be involved in the children's journey, helping them to understand the special place that we live in as well as preparing them socially and emotionally for wider life.
Michael Harris - Local Authority Governor
I am a  New Forest District Councillor for the Ward of Brockenhurst and Forest South East and a  Cabinet Member with responsibility for the Local Economy.  My family and I moved to the New Forest in 2005.   Whilst living in London I was Chairman of Governors of a 3 form entry Primary School for 12 years.  I run my own consultancy business advising individuals and companies in the film, television and media industry. For 30 years until 2019 I was a Trustee and the Treasurer of Comic Relief.   I enjoy chocolate, British comedy and waiting for trains that are cancelled at the last minute.

I have lived and worked in Brockenhurst for more than 30 years, in the past two of my four children attended the School. In my capacity as the former principal of Brockenhurst College for 18 years and Priestlands governor for 9, I acquired a broad understanding and experience of education both in Hampshire and nationally. On my retirement in 2006 I set up an education management consultancy, adding further to my knowledge and understanding of the world of education.  In my spare time I enjoy most the company of my amazing family, including 9 grandchildren, being a part of the Brockenhurst Gateway Club, walking the dog in our beautiful Forest, reading books, listening to music and the odd glass of good wine!

Kirsty Tomblin - Parent Governor
I became a Parent Governor in October 2019 and am really grateful for the opportunity to work alongside a team who are so committed to wanting the best outcomes for our school and all the children in it. I have 2 children at the school and I feel so grateful to be part of a community where there are so many activities and opportunities for our young people both in the school and in the village as a whole.  I am currently a Secondary School teacher but have also had experience working in a Primary School in Bournemouth. I feel that my educational experience helps me greatly but crucially it is the act of being a parent of children in the school that I try and place at the heart of my role as governor. I hope to represent the parental perspective as well as possible and to ensure that the school is best supported in helping our children thrive.
Jo Plummer - Foundation Governor
I moved to the village, with my husband Kevin, in 2013. I started working as an English teacher and progress leader at a local secondary school. Prior to this I taught English, Psychology and R.S. at a large comprehensive school for 11 - 18 year olds in South London.  I have two (grown up) children who work and live in London.  I am a committed Christian; I regularly attend St Saviour's church, I am on the PCC and prayer teams. I also work with the Youth group (Blaze).  I really enjoy walking, reading and theatre (especially musical theatre). When our children were young I taught aerobics to adults in a variety of evening classes.

My career has led me to  work in a broad range of schools, initially in Tower Hamlets (London) followed by Sittingbourne, Kingston-upon-Thames, Bristol and Solihull - achieving my first Deputy Headship in 1995 in Bristol. Having a 9 year career break with my second son from 2003 enabled me to direct my efforts into supporting the community.
