Exciting news this week!
We received a letter from the Natural Museum explaining how to care for our special egg, along with diaries to record its development. After carefully following the instructions and placing the egg in water, it began to hatch on Thursday. It has been very exciting for the children to observe this process.
A highlight this week was definitely the pantomime Robin Hood. It was so lovely to see the children so enthusiastic, singing along and dancing to the music! A huge thank you to our PTA for organising this—what a fantastic experience for everyone.
We have had a more positive week in Year 1. The children have been reflecting on the choices they make and were proud to earn the rest of their class reward Pom Poms in the Jar. As a class, they chose a film and popcorn – well done everyone!

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas break and wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year. It's been a joy welcoming the children back to school, and we’ve loved hearing all about their adventures over the holidays. It’s clear that everyone had a fantastic time!

I wanted to let you know that Book Change will now take place on Fridays. As usual, the children will receive two new books each week. In addition, their eBook will be set on the eCollins website, and the login details can be found in your child's reading diary. If you have any trouble logging on or need help with anything, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

What a wonderful first term it has been in Year 1! The children have worked incredibly hard, from performing in the Nativities to creating beautiful Christmas crafts and meeting Santa—what a blast it’s been!
Wow! What an absolutely magnificent job all the children did this week in their Nativity performance of Angel Express! From singing to acting, every child shone brightly, and we couldn’t be more proud of their hard work and enthusiasm. I’m sure you’re as proud as we are!
A big well done to all the Owls for their fantastic performances. 😊

This week has been full of excitement as we shared and talked about our favourite toys! A huge thank you to everyone who sent in a photo – it really brought the topic to life for the children. We also started our new text, Lost in the Toy Museum, which has sparked lots of curiosity and discussion.

There’s not long to go now, and we can feel the excitement building! Please remember to send in costumes by Thursday, 27th November, and be sure to label everything in a named bag.
