We have had a busy week in Year 2!
Thank you so much for all of your donations for our Harvest Festival. The children sung their hearts out on Wednesday morning and it was lovely to see so many of you at the church.
In English, we have started to think of our own instructions based on the book 'How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth'. The children had some great ideas for titles, including 'How to Wash a Fluffy Sheep' and 'How to Wash a Glittery Unicorn'!
In maths, we have been focusing on counting in 3s. Year 2 have found this challenging this week, but they have been resilient and have worked really hard. Next week, we will be moving on to addition and subtraction.
Well done to the children who went to the football tournament at Priestlands on Wednesday. In Year 2, we have been having lots of conversations about being a team player and being gracious and happy for our friends, even if we feel disappointed. It was great to hear that Year 2 took this message with them to Priestlands. The children who didn't attend had a lovely afternoon using watercolour paints to create a background for their polar animal in art.
Finally, the Collins Hub website is working! You will now be able to access the book your child has been reading in Little Wandle sessions. Their previous reads have all been uploaded too. Thank you for your support and patience.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Prichard
